Delays or procrastination works against us.
We can become paralyzed and that helps nobody.
It can cost money, sometimes dramatically so.
A client owned a number of homes, they were in arrears on property tax. But they were a good client, much was positive. The bank involved paid the property tax and then gave her a week to repay. The client was paralyzed with the legal and financial intimidation and did nothing.
The bank went power of sale. When we contacted a law firm we were told that the property was sold the day before. There were several times this could have been resolved. We did not realize the power action had gone to possession and when we tried to intercede we were told “ too late.”
Delays cost the client a minimum $ 60,000.00
The actual loss is much greater than 60K…….
The bank won. Client lost.
This could have been an easy fix.
